Employees are looking for a meaningful chance to engage with each other. Companies want to make an impact on their community. Nonprofits need the support of both dollars and volunteer hours. At Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB), we have developed a volunteer and corporate responsibility model that includes…

Team building? Check.

Meaningful impact on our community? Check.

Leadership development? Check.

Customized to your needs and interests? Check.

Fun and engaging? Double check!

We love working with our corporate partners to create days of service that are meaningful for their company and have a direct impact on helping people and nature thrive in Indy. We provide the project, training, and tools; our partners provide the volunteer force and positive attitudes. Every investment with KIB is directly returned to our partners in increased employee satisfaction, productivity, and engagement. This is a unique team-building opportunity for employees and clients to make an impact in our city.

One of our local partners, Roche Indy, is committed to conserving and enhancing the neighborhoods in which we live and work. Every year, Roche employees are given time to step away from their desks to participate in the annual KIB Day of Service to make an impact on diverse communities throughout Indianapolis. In fact, Roche and KIB will celebrate 10 years of community partnership and service in June 2020. In that time, employees have planted over 1,000 trees — beautifying numerous local schools, parks, and neighborhoods.

Roche continues to partner with KIB to offer employees the opportunity to get out in the community and create vibrant public places where individuals and nature can thrive. Roche is committed to providing sustainable environments for both work and play. In addition, giving back is part of the company culture — Roche encourages all employees to donate their time and monies to organizations important to them.

KIB coordinates customized days of service for corporate teams and organizations year-round. Our staff are skilled and experienced in volunteer project management. Projects can include IPL Project GreenSpace construction or planting, tree planting, habitat restoration, litter cleanup, park beautification, or a project we come up with together.
