Episode 24: Marsha Putt and Brooke Bell of Tom Wood Lexus

Focus on transparency, community, and putting people above profits is ingrained throughout the entire Tom Wood brand

Tom Wood Lexus has been in business since Lexus opened their doors to 121 franchise dealers in 1990. Over the years, the automobile industry has changed and Tom Wood has changed with it. Staying true to their key values of honor, integrity, and loyalty, they are one of the first Lexus Dealerships out of 238 to become a Lexus Plus Dealership.

Launched in May 2016, Tom Wood’s Lexus Plus Program offers greater transparency to customers and allows the car buying process to be less stressful and more enjoyable, placing an emphasis on customer satisfaction throughout the entire car-buying process. The progressive and innovative approach of Lexus Plus takes the stress out of buying or servicing a car, providing a fair price upfront so that the guest doesn’t have the stress of wondering if they are getting a “good deal.” Lexus Plus also offers a single point of contact so the guest only deals with one person throughout the entire purchase process.

This focus on transparency, community, and putting people above profits is ingrained throughout the entire Tom Wood brand. Marsha Putt, Director of Employee Experience, and Brooke Bell, Project and Digital Operations Manager, both see this mindset in action every day. Not only does Tom Wood focus on making the customer’s car buying process as easy as it can be, but they also use sustainability practices in their business and are one of the only LEAD Certified Dealerships in the country, which minimizes their environmental footprint. Marsha, Brooke and the whole Tom Wood organization also work to continuously give back to the community that has supported them for over 50 years! Along with regular events benefitting the American Cancer Society and Toys for Tots, Tom Wood regularly supports over 20 differing charities each year.

Listen in to hear from Marsha and Brooke as they detail their business model while sharing how they balance running a successful business with giving back to the local community.
