Episode 17: Mandy Selke and Carly Swift of Just Pop In!

Just Pop In

Celebrate Happiness

In 2003, dynamic twin sisters, Mandy Selke and Carly Swift of Just Pop In!, set out to create the best popcorn company on the planet. Inspiration stemmed from essential joy and particularly anticipated evenings spent popping with their Grandfather. Since the beginning, the girls have set their intention to honor their declaration, “Celebrate Happiness”

As you will hear as we talk, Mandy and Carly exude joy in all of their interactions. The sisters are quite passionate about their growing product line, one-of-a-kind packaging, and over-the-top customer service. However, their biggest passion is by far the happiness and compassion of people. They believe and exude the feeling that popcorn gives people a lot of joy and something to smile about.

Just Pop In is headquartered in Indianapolis and their impact on the community is evident to all residents – from partnerships with the Damien Center and Julian Center and many other local organizations to supporting artists and craftsmen and women in various capacities, their brand is synonymous with Indy. Ask any employee what it’s like to work with the two sisters and they’ll tell you that the women are open-minded, supportive and encouraging.

In 2017, Just Pop In! introduced new headquarters, a California farmhouse-inspired dwelling located in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis, where they house their distribution center with a 2-story wrap-around porch used to host guests and community events featuring Just Pop In! popcorn, local beer, wine and small plates.

And if you’re coming to town via the Indianapolis International Airport, you can grab some of their uniquely flavored popcorns. In 2008, Just Pop In! earned the flagship space of terminal B in the Indianapolis International Airport. The space continues to be one of the only independent locally-owned & operated retail environments. That same year, Just Pop In! was voted “Best New Retail Concept” in all of North America by Airports Council International.
