It is no surprise that Jen-Ai Notman is the head of social impact at Leesa Sleep, a B Corp certified company that is revolutionizing the way people sleep.

Jen-Ai received a degree in Psychology from Grinnell College and serves on the board of KidzCare Africa, a nonprofit organization that was created by her parents in 2008 to support Tanzanian children. Upon graduation, she sought a job where she could “make a difference” and describes her opportunity to work at Leesa as serendipitous.

Leesa mattresses are made in the USA, sold online, and are compressed, boxed and shipped directly to customers’ homes. Customers can try their Leesa for 100 nights completely risk-free; if not satisfied they can return it, no questions asked for a hassle-free, full refund.

But what really sets Leesa apart is its industry-leading social impact program.

Leesa donates one mattress for every ten sold; plants a tree for every one sold; and donates time to support local and national organizations.

Leesa has donated more than 23,000 mattresses to non-profits organizations that serve homeless and at-risk men, women and children, and have set a goal with Arbor Day Foundation to plant one million trees by 2025. In addition, Leesa participates in numerous local community events and initiatives, staff are given time off to help at local food banks and shelters, and they support local charities.

Listen in as Jen-Ai shares why Leesa believes it’s vital to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems to further the Leesa mission of providing a better place to sleep for everybody.
