By 2020, Indiana is positioned to create 1 million new jobs. Filling them is Ascend Indiana’s – and Kate Broshears’ mission.

As the Vice President of External Relations and co-lead of the Ascend Network, Kate Broshears is helping spearhead an Indiana-based movement to help connect the right candidates with the right careers through employer engagement and talent identification – what she calls “Match.com” for jobs. The Ascend Network connects students to employment by representing companies in a way that makes them more human to candidates, and actively recruiting talent through a personalized interview process that makes candidates seem more human to companies.

U.S. News and World Report cited Ascend as a state-level solution to the prediction that jobs worldwide are on track to become automated by 2030, requiring retraining and public assistant programs at an unprecedented level. We talk with Kate to find out how Ascend is working to combat this problem by helping businesses skill up their workforce, providing strategic planning for career development, along with many other innovative services. Listen to learn more about Kate and how through Ascend, she is working to promote the broader good through the future workforce of Indiana.
