Supporting local and giving back to the community is present in every aspect of Elizabeth Maora, LLC.
Elizabeth Maora Sickels is a farm girl originally from eastern Indiana. A Boilermaker – Purdue engineering grad – and Spartan – Michigan State MBA grad – she considers herself a reformed corporate engineer.
Elizabeth had a rewarding career in corporate, traveling the world, working with great people from diverse cultures on some pretty cool projects. Then, in 2016 as she was about to run out of vacation days, she decided to take the leap and “retire” from her planning and strategy position at Ford Motor Company to strike out on her own.
She traveled for six months and put her Michigan condo on AirBnB. Following a great experience being an AirBnB host, Elizabeth was inspired to build a full-service hospitality and property management business for short-term rentals.
Elizabeth Maora, LLC was born!
A licensed realtor, Elizabeth uses her namesake company to combine her love and passion for people with her profession. This people-first mentality is what prompted Elizabeth to create Exquisitely Engineered, a 501c3 affordable housing nonprofit that provides refurbished shipping container houses to those who have fallen on difficult financial times.
