Improving the health of communities
Since 1976, Community Health Network Foundation has worked to raise and steward financial support for Community Health Network.
The Foundation’s mission? To support Community Health Network’s commitment to improving the health of the communities they serve.
As a nonprofit health system with more than 200 sites of care and affiliates throughout Central Indiana, Community Health Network’s full continuum of care integrates hundreds of physicians, specialty and acute care hospitals, surgery centers, home care services, MedChecks, behavioral health and employer health services.
Ranked among the nation’s most integrated healthcare systems, Indianapolis-based Community Health Network is Central Indiana’s leader in providing convenient access to exceptional healthcare services, where and when patients need them—in hospitals, health pavilions, and doctor’s offices, as well as workplaces, schools, and homes.
All operating expenses of the Foundation are covered by Community Health Network, while generous sponsors fund the overhead costs of an annual fundraising event, The Giving Gig. Thanks to this event and individual donors, 100 percent of all donations made to Community Health Network Foundation benefit patients and help to fulfill the mission of Community Health Network. From behavioral health and cancer care to women’s, children’s and senior services, the Foundation supports programs that benefit a wide range of Community patients.
Ryan Chelli, Executive Director, Marketing and Communications at Community Health Network, joins us today to talk about the wonderful mission-driven initiatives sustained by Community Health Network, including a robust volunteer program created in 2011 as a way to support its mission by creating volunteer opportunities to complete the circle by collectively giving back to the growing number of individuals and neighborhoods that gave birth to the network.
